SUNY Oneonta is hiring: Photography Adjunct Lecturer in City of Oneonta

• Teach lecture/lab Photography practices; both film-based/wet darkroom as well as digital
• Monitor and maintain the safety of the digital lab, lighting studio, and darkroom
• Provide excellent instruction and facilitate student engagement.
• Provide grades and feedback on progress throughout the semester.
• Cover the required technical and theoretical aspects of the syllabus.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Submit interim and final grades by published deadlines.
• Hold office hours.
• Meet each class twice weekly. Each class period is 1 hour and 50 minutes

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Photography
• Professional experience as a Photographer as demonstrated with a portfolio
• Expertise in the use of film using 35mm, 120 and 4x5 cameras
• Expertise in the technical aspects of digital capture technologies
• Experience in maintaining a darkroom and lighting studio
• Proficiency in the Adobe Suite with emphasis on Lightroom and Photoshop
• Experience teaching in-person at the college-level

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Photography or a related area
• Experience in an online Course Management System such as Brightspace
