Description This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award. Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to serve as Mid-Level Technical Writing Support for the Commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). In this role, you will provide tactical and operational expertise to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of the Surface Force across multiple warfare domains. Occasional travel may be required. About SMWDC: SMWDC’s mission focuses on advancing the Navy's Surface Force through four key areas: Advanced Tactical Training Doctrine and Tactical Guidance Development Operational Support Capability Assessment, Experimentation, and Requirements Support Locations: This role provides support across various SMWDC sites, including: SMWDC Headquarters, San Diego, CA Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Develop, edit, and refine tactical documentation and training materials Create high-quality graphics and multimedia content for presentations and reports Draft, review, and update ASW and SUW-related doctrine and TTPs Support advanced tactical training aligned with SMWDC’s mission Analyze operational and training requirements to address gaps Collaborate with Navy leadership and cross-functional teams on deliverables Requirements Security Clearance : Active Secret clearance required at the time of proposal submission Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience : Minimum of 3 years of recent experience creating high-quality graphics for presentations Proficiency with Adobe software, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premiere, or equivalent tools At least 3 years of recent experience, either teaching or developing Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) or Surface Warfare (SUW) doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) Preferred Attributes Strong analytical skills to assess and improve tactical training and operational strategies Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for interfacing with Navy leadership and cross-functional teams Why Prevailance?
