Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for pulling and terminating cables, understanding cable flow and installation, installing equipment and wall rack equipment reading wire diagrams, and programming proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dress, label, pull, cut, and terminate cables
  • Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches
  • Install cameras
  • Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV, CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI
  • Mount and dress displays of various sizes including wall panels
  • Program various equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients
  • Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts, including recording serial and model numbers
  • Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
  • Partner with co-workers and management to provide excellent customer service
  • Complete all projects with high quality and in accordance with scope
  • Adhere to company Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with voltage meters, soldering irons, tone generators, multimeters, cable toners, and network cable testers
  • Ability to dress racks
  • Ability to read and interpret ceiling plans, elevation drawings, and room flow diagrams
  • Identify and understand various source plates
  • Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web portals
  • Ability to fit into tight spaces such as ceiling panels, closets, and interstitial spaces
  • Quick learner of new computer programs and mobile devices
  • Sound decision-making and escalation skills
  • Effective response to sensitive inquiries or complaints

Qualification Standards

Education: High School Diploma, technical trade school, or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of two years in an audio-video integration environment

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

The primary environment is indoor in a medical setting. The role requires 100% travel to project sites. Safety provisions and PPE are mandatory in hazardous conditions. The position involves exposure to noise, electrical hazards, high places, chemicals, vibration, and oscillating movements. Visual acuity is required for data analysis, reading, and computer work. Compensation and Benefits

$25.00 - $30.00 based on experience
