Researches and identifies private and corporate foundation opportunities and evaluates their suitability for the organization. Assists in developing grant proposals and manages the grant development process to secure funds that sustain and expand programs and administrative needs. Assembles all pertinent grant material packages for final submission, ensuring accuracy and quality of all grant contract documents leaving the organization. Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of The Salvation Army's contracts with donors. Collaborates with the Grants Manager to coordinate the completion and submission of required follow-up reports and updates the grants management database.

- Grants Writing Responsibilities (40%)
- Grants Reporting Responsibilities (20%)
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, communications, human services, social services, or a related field, AND
- Three years of relevant work experience in successful grant writing or a related field, OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under deadlines and time constraints.
- Conduct duties in accordance with the organization's Christian principles, maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to travel for meetings, conferences, and community events.
- Work is primarily seated, with occasional standing or walking.
- Limited physical effort involved in walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) for 5-10% of work time.
Work Environment:
Typically performed in a normal office setting with minimal physical discomforts related to weather, noise, dust, or dirt.
