A Digital Court Reporter is responsible for capturing deponent testimonies via audio or video during depositions. This includes setting up and maintaining audio and video equipment, taking notes, and creating logs of proceedings.

Essential Functions

• Set up audio/video equipment professionally in various environments.
• Position microphones for optimal audio capture.
• Mix multiple audio tracks and monitor for interference.
• Adjust white balance and exposure appropriately.
• Ensure proper video framing according to legal standards.
• Assist clients with technical issues both in-person and remotely.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and technology.
• Log key legal events, including speaker identification and exhibit introductions.
• Swear in deponents and record testimonies accurately.
• Maintain professionalism during legal proceedings.

Location & Shift

Baltimore, MD | 8:00am - 5:00pm

$22.00 - $24.00/hour

Requirements

Experience or knowledge of the legal industry preferred. 2- or 4-year degree preferred. Comfortable with A/V technologies and digital recording. Professional appearance and experience dealing face-to-face with clients. Able to adapt to changing schedules, sometimes after hours. Reliable transportation and ability to lift at least 50lbs.
