We are seeking a skilled Meteorologist/Reporter to forecast weather conditions and produce engaging weather segments across all platforms. The role involves delivering clear, accurate, and compelling weather content to our news consumers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce and present weather reports for various platforms.
• Maintain journalistic integrity and production quality in all weather content.
• Write and deliver weather stories clearly and concisely.
• Assist in writing, editing, researching, and coordinating weather programming.
• Respond promptly to severe weather events and urgent news situations.
• Collaborate with the weather team to develop comprehensive coverage.
• Participate in promotional activities, including public appearances.
• Manage special projects and other assigned duties.
• Write daily web stories on local forecasts.
• Engage with viewers and users on social media.
• Report on weather-related topics impacting the community.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum five years’ experience in weather reporting or anchoring.
• Strong on-air presence and experience guiding teams.
• Ability to mentor and develop others.
• Proficiency with office equipment and computer software.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Deep understanding of meteorology and forecasting.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Flexible to work any shift.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Must be able to sit, communicate effectively, work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift equipment up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive movements. Work may occur in bright or low lighting conditions.
