Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer, focusing on transitioning legacy applications into modern web solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform legacy Python applications into modern web applications using NextJS, TailwindCSS, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with customers and project managers to understand requirements and design intuitive user interfaces.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Understand deployment processes, including Docker, for system integration.
Key Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- 14 to 20+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 18 years of experience without a degree
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
Key Skills:
- NextJS, TypeScript, Cypress Testing, Docker, Tailwind CSS, NodeJS, Python (helpful but not required)
Location & Compensation:
Location: Columbia, MD, with up to 2 days telework per week.
Salary Range: $170,000 - $240,000, based on experience and skills.
