Job Description
Reference and Instruction Librarian. Applicants must be strong communicators and effective classroom/reference facilitators who enjoy teaching in a student-centered environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide reference services in person, chat, and phone.
- Teach library information literacy classes and student workshops.
- Meet with students for research assistance.
- Create and maintain online research guides (libguides).
- Maintain records of interactions.
- Perform professional librarian duties as assigned.
- Participate in departmental meetings, assessments, and surveys.
- Comply with institutional procedures.
- Engage in professional development activities.
Job Requirements
Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program. Preferred: experience in academic libraries, familiarity with online systems and Springshare suite, a second Master's degree, online teaching experience, flexibility to work at either campus and remotely, and a commitment to student-centered, culturally competent pedagogy.
Additional Information
Part-time faculty are paid on a lecture hour equivalent basis, with rates for 2024-2025 at $1191/LHE without doctorates and $1262/LHE with doctorates. Faculty advance after successful semesters.
