Job Summary
The Digital Media Team at the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center is seeking a talented and motivated student to join as a Video Production Student Technology Assistant. This work-study position offers hands-on experience in video editing and filming campus events. The assistant will work closely with the Digital Media Team to produce high-quality videos supporting the university's mission and enhancing the learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Assist with editing tasks, organizing footage, assembling rough cuts, trimming clips, and adding transitions, title cards, and audio enhancements. Create screen-recordings and tutorial videos.
- Filming Events: Help film lectures, guest speakers, and campus activities.
- Equipment Management: Organize and manage video production equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and tripods.
- Post-Production: Support rendering and exporting videos for internal and external university channels.
- Digitize Materials: Digitize and archive materials like photographs and legacy videos (VHS, MiniDV).
- Content Organization: Maintain a well-structured digital library of video files.
- Documentation: Keep records related to video projects, including briefs, shot lists, and notes.
Additional Information
Federal Work Study Requirement: Not required.
Qualifications: Must be a current Seton Hall student. Ability to lift 35 lbs for equipment movement.
Physical Demands: Carrying reams of paper for printers as needed.
