The Job

Wireframe, prototype, and iterate upon designs grounded in metrics, user feedback, technical constraints, product roadmaps, and more to align a wide set of cross-functional team members.

Understand, empathize, and gain a deep understanding of our user base, customer motivations, market opportunities, and competition across our target government and enterprise sectors.

Identify customer pain points and creatively improve the product experience via thoughtful design choices and intuitive workflows.

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, sales and marketing teams, software developers, and other UX designers to test, measure, and influence design choices, using data and analytics to improve customer adoption.

Influence our product strategy and roadmap with unique customer-focused perspectives. Help generate feature ideas and bring them forward towards launch.

Take ownership of end-to-end design processes, from initial concept to final delivery, and proactively drive forward on solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Advocate for UX best practices and educate the team on design thinking and usability.

This role reports to: Principal Product Manager

What We Are Looking For

Required: Please provide a portfolio showcasing your previous design work to demonstrate your process, problem solving abilities, and the impact of your designs on user experience.

If selected for interviews, we will also ask you to complete a short design assignment.

3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, or in a similar role designing web and mobile applications.

Demonstrated knowledge of UX best practices and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.

Proven ability to empathize with users and channel their needs into innovative, intuitive, and effective customer experiences.

Strong ability to wireframe, prototype, and quickly iterate on designs based on data, research, user feedback, and UX testing.

Practical experience and knowledge of user research methodologies.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Comfortable operating autonomously and creatively in situations of ambiguity with only high-level direction.

Natural problem solving and critical thinking abilities to drive towards a long-term vision while meeting aggressive short-term deadlines.

Bias for action and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and new challenges arise regularly.

Proficiency with prototyping tools such as Figma, and with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Slack.

Experience designing for AI-assisted experiences and utilizing AI in design and research workflows is a very strong plus.
