Technical Marketer

Objective:

Generate various marketing collateral for use in a wide range of print and online vehicles. Work closely with Product Managers to launch and market their product categories. Works under limited supervision with considerable use of discretion and independent judgment.

Requirements:

• Responsible for or participate in marketing tasks in the launch process for their product silos, including product data review and store structure naming, technical catalog pages review, marketing brochure content creation/update/collaboration, Web store Overview page content creation and review, Web store testing, and any microsite updates.
• Improve our customers’ specifying and purchasing experience by creating or collaborating on product-related content for their product silos, including technical articles/tutorials for publication online or in print, ideas/guidance for videos, and product selection guides/selector structures or data.
• Responsible for or participate in FIT marketing tasks in the product promotion campaigns for their product silos, including print ad development and product-focused targeted marketing (print and online).
• Participate in special-purpose or ongoing projects/tasks that increase ADC’s market presence, such as educational institution support, public relations events, and business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industrial controls industry in a technical or marketing/sales role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
• A broad understanding of technical marketing is preferred.
• Experience in technical product marketing or documentation is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign publishing software is a plus.
