Six Flags is hiring: Entertainment Show Announcer $18.50/HR in Vallejo

Job Duties:

• Follow schedule for presentations as directed by leadership.
• Communicate with leadership, coworkers, techs, and animal care as situations change.
• Perform all assigned roles including announcer, tech, spotlight, stadium usher, etc.
• Change into and out of costumes as dictated by the show script and maintain costumes as needed.
• Meet performance measurements and quality standards provided.
• Participate in production work occasionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards through all tasks.
• Follow departmental and area safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other functions as directed by leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of theater arts, including terminology, memorizing scripts, blocking, sound, and microphone usage.
• Preferred knowledge includes production process, constructive criticism, theater safety, set decorating, theming, and maintenance.
• College-level experience in Theatre or related discipline and/or relevant employment experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and memorization skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Comfort around deep water, various heights, and different animals including cats, birds, snakes, and large marine mammals.

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, with natural and artificial lighting, including night venues. Equipment includes radios, phones, microphones, and cleaning tools. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work hours vary and include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Close contact with park guests is required.
