Amazon is seeking a smart, adaptable, and driven PR specialist to join the Alexa+ team. In this role, you will lead communications for the Alexa+ developer and partner businesses, as well as storytelling initiatives illustrating the technical innovation behind Alexa+, Amazon's next generation AI assistant.
This role requires a driven, strategic and nimble communications professional able to work across multiple disciplines concurrently, managing strategic planning, message development, issues management, proactive and reactive communications, internal stakeholder and executive management, thought leadership, events, and media engagement. This role requires a technical understanding of AI technologies, and requires a leader who is able to earn trust with business partners. The ideal candidate will also be a strong writer, comfortable liaising with key developer and business partners, have exceptional attention to detail, and bias for action.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with technology products and services
- Self-driven
- Technical acumen to dive deep into new technologies and tools
- Experience with end-to-end product and/or technology communications
- Ability to communicate complex topics effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
