Why Are We Hiring? We are looking to hire a Campaign Communications Director who can harness the power of technology and data to redefine how campaigns communicate. Our mission is to connect candidates with voters and stakeholders through compelling, personalized messaging that truly resonates. As the political landscape grows more dynamic and digital, we need a communications leader who can blend innovative tools with proven storytelling to deliver authentic, impactful outreach at scale. Responsibilities Develop and execute communications strategies that align with campaign goals, using data and insights to shape messaging across all platforms Serve as campaign spokesperson, manage media relations, generate earned coverage, and prepare candidates for media appearances, debates, and interviews Craft press materials, speeches, and op-eds while managing social media for consistency, impact, and engagement Mentor communications staff (press, digital, design), ensure message discipline, and align communications with overall campaign strategy Build relationships with media, community leaders, and partners; manage outreach through newsletters, alerts, and updates Track and optimize communication efforts using analytics, staying responsive to political developments and media trends Required Proven excellence in political campaign communications, management, and execution, ideally in senior roles within major campaigns 5–6 years of experience in political communications, with at least 3 years managing teams Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including on-the-record experience Strong understanding of digital campaigning, media relations, and campaign compliance Demonstrated ability to craft compelling messaging and execute multi-channel outreach Experience working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments Deep knowledge of voter engagement, fundraising, and field organizing Advantages Experience balancing quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive communications decisions Background in high-profile or large-scale political campaigns Strong crisis management and rapid response skills Excellent storytelling and public speaking abilities Sense of humor and passion for public service Apply Email your resume, proof of work, and a brief statement on why you want to be part of the team to: morgan@reachthepeople.ai Seniority level
