We are seeking a newsroom leader to grow anchoring skills at WLBT. The role involves anchoring daily newscasts, storytelling from the field, and leading coverage of breaking news and investigations in a new, visually compelling studio.
Duties include:
- Leading coverage from studio and field
- Shooting, writing, and editing content for broadcasts and digital platforms
- Providing compelling live reports, including breaking news
- Operating portable live units and conducting live shots
- Generating story ideas and building local contacts
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2+ years as an Anchor or MMJ preferred
- Degree in Journalism or Communications, or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of current events and coverage opportunities
- Valid driving record
