We are seeking a newsroom leader to grow anchoring skills at WLBT. The role involves anchoring daily newscasts, storytelling from the field, and leading coverage of breaking news and investigations in a new, visually compelling studio.

Duties include:

1. Leading coverage from studio and field
2. Shooting, writing, and editing content for broadcasts and digital platforms
3. Providing compelling live reports, including breaking news
4. Operating portable live units and conducting live shots
5. Generating story ideas and building local contacts

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 2+ years as an Anchor or MMJ preferred
• Degree in Journalism or Communications, or equivalent experience preferred
• Knowledge of current events and coverage opportunities
• Valid driving record
