Job Summary/Description:

WNEM is seeking an exceptional Anchor/MMJ to join our team. The successful candidate will anchor weekend newscasts regularly, research, write, report, shoot, and edit news stories for television and digital platforms, including social media. The role involves coordinating with multimedia producers to deliver compelling content and contributing live shots using microwave, satellite, and other technology. The individual will represent WNEM professionally in public.

Responsibilities include:

• Anchoring weekend newscasts.
• Presenting content from the news set and live in the field during breaking news and events.
• Writing and editing news content for clarity, impact, and viewer engagement.
• Delivering content energetically and compellingly.
• Supporting news management goals and audience engagement strategies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of broadcast journalism experience.
• Experience as a newscast anchor and lead story reporter preferred.
