Job Description/Summary:

WNDU Multimedia, part of Gray Television, seeks a fluent bilingual Spanish/English speaker/writer with high energy and creativity. The ideal candidate enjoys generating story ideas, writing for video, and performing compelling live shots. Must be highly proficient in both languages, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced newsroom focused on breaking news, severe weather, and investigative digital reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Fluent in English and Spanish, both speaking and writing
• Produce accurate, unbiased digital content
• Pitch, write, and publish stories on digital platforms and social media
• Meet deadlines and adapt as needed
• Experience in field reporting and shooting as a one-person multimedia journalist
• Build relationships within the community
• Be a collaborative team player

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. in Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong translation skills between English and Spanish
• Native-level Spanish speaking and writing skills
• Proficient in English
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• On-site work in South Bend, Indiana
• Demonstrated storytelling skills in digital and live platforms
