Position: Graphic Artist (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Graphic Artist to create compelling visuals that communicate complex technical concepts. This role supports various high-impact projects, producing presentations, illustrations, and digital content for both expert and general audiences. The ideal candidate combines creative design skills with strong technical understanding and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and secure environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and produce digital graphics, technical illustrations, presentations (PowerPoint), interactive posters, logos, and promotional materials.
2. Translate conceptual ideas, sketches, and informal notes into polished visual assets.
3. Integrate diverse content into cohesive designs, maintaining a professional and consistent look and feel.
4. Apply principles of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling to enhance audience understanding.
5. Maintain and organize digital libraries, visual assets, and internal repositories.
6. Ensure all materials align with style guides, branding standards, and clearance protocols.
7. Proofread all deliverables for accuracy in spelling, grammar, and formatting.
8. Support content management by establishing and maintaining design protocols.
9. Engage with technical staff and leadership to identify project requirements and deadlines.
10. Manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
11. Coordinate graphic support for meetings, including managing SharePoint folders and facilitating material collection.
12. Work collaboratively with other creatives and cross-functional teams across the organization.
13. Continuously explore new methods, tools, and styles to improve creative output.
14. Recommend enhancements to visual workflows and resources as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Illustration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years in visual or graphic design, preferably within a technical, scientific, or government-related environment.
3. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
4. Experience working in both Windows and Mac environments.
5. Strong conceptual and layout design skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
7. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
8. Applicants must provide a digital portfolio or work samples with their application.
9. Due to the nature of the work, an active Top-Secret clearance is required with eligibility to obtain SCI.

Additional Information:

Selected candidates will be subject to a post-offer background check and must be able to maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
