Position Overview
This position will cover Queens and Nassau regions.
Our groundbreaking hospice and palliative care programs make a significant difference when dealing with life-limiting conditions. We offer a broad range of community-based or facility-based services to help patients and their families manage the burden of illness or end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize creative arts therapy interventions specific to music therapy for clinical assessment and treatment of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual end-of-life issues for patients, caregivers, and bereaved persons of all ages, in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Participate in clinical training and supervision of creative arts therapy interns; support programming, research, education, and marketing efforts to promote the organization's mission and growth.
Qualifications
- NY State licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
- ATR-BC certification
- Minimum of one year experience as a creative arts therapist in hospice, palliative care, or acute medical settings (internship hours may be considered).
- Availability in late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
