Student Affairs seeks an experienced and talented Audio Visual Design Project Coordinator to join our team to manage activities of assigned projects from project initiation through completion with limited guidance; coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. Work is typically comprised of 30% contribution towards project leadership and 70% as a technical contributor.

In this role, you will:

  • Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
      • Create and manage a detailed project timeline for AV installations, including key milestones such as equipment procurement, installation scheduling, system testing, signage, and client training.
  • Perform project management oversight of small projects or more than one large task within a larger project. Oversee, coordinate, and perform technical aspects of project, with guidance, based on type of project manager support required (e.g., engineer, quality, scheduler).
      • Assist in reviewing engineering schematics and CAD drawings, helping to coordinate revisions or updates based on feedback or site-specific needs.
      • Track inventory and availability of critical AV equipment, ensuring that any special requirements are ordered early and arrive within the project schedule.
      • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that all changes to the original design or configuration are properly documented for future reference.
  • Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines. Ensure the preparation of required project documentation.
  • Contribute to communication plan and change management elements.
  • Document internal and external Standard Operating Procedures
  • Coordinate with all Classroom Technology team members to participate in classroom support activities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of directly related experience performing responsibilities similar to those listed above or a combination of education and experience.
  • Polished written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences.
  • Adept at productively contributing to cross-functional teams.
  • Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.
  • Demonstrated project management track record to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement components.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures, be exposed to high voltage electricity, radiation or electromagnetic fields, lasers, noise > 80dB TWA, allergens/biohazards/chemicals /asbestos, or heavy metals or work on roofs at heights greater than 10 ft.
  • Travel locally and cross-university
  • Hybrid Eligible (Up to 1 day per week)
  • Able to work on evenings and weekends, as needed

The expected pay range for this position is $96,324 - $118,257 per annum.
