Our Breast & Skeletal Health is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our R&D team. You will be responsible for writing, creating, drafting, editing, reviewing, and maintaining service documentation for the instrumentation product lines. This position will sit at our expanding Innovation Center in Newark, DE and will accommodate a 2/3 day hybrid schedule.

What To Expect:

  • Work closely with key personnel and participates in technical training to develop expert level understanding of instrumentation and software.
  • Manage multiple user documentation projects at a time.
  • Design and implement work instructions, area guidelines, knowledge base topics, style guides/templates and departmental SOPS.
  • Significant contributor in the development of documentation timelines and deliverables.
  • Attend project/core team meetings as required as extended core team representative and make recommendations regarding the IFU project schedule and deliverables required considering information learned at these meetings.
  • Lead translation projects and oversee vendors through the translation development and procurement process.
  • Manage the collaborative review process and lead collaborative review sessions.
  • Establish review and edit cycles based on the project timeline and availability of resources.
  • Train cross-functional team on review process as needed.

What We Expect:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in related field with experience in medical devices.
  • 8-10 years of related experience
  • In depth knowledge of Technical Writing Theory and Practices, Design Theory
  • Advanced knowledge of QSR/GMP/MDR/ISO
  • Advanced experience w/ print publishing, design, or document control programs.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Proficiency and knowledge in DTP software applications, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator…), FrameMaker
  • Good experience digital content software applications such as MadCap Flare or Author-It
  • Advanced experience with Agile Software Document Management Solution
  • Solicits feedback from reviewers and negotiates changes to achieve team consensus.
  • Manages multiple project priorities with minimal assistance.
  • Adjusts to changing timelines and requirements.
  • Open to learning new skills and exploring opportunities to innovate.
  • Intellectual curiosity about technical products and systems; commitment to product knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $109,200 to $170,800 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
