The Mechanical Designer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and production launch of various projects.
This is a 'Direct Hire' role and includes developing CAD models and drawings to meet customer specifications and assisting teams to include Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Support.
Solidworks experience desired but will consider experience in other 3D systems such as Inventor or Creo.
Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and layouts and add fabrication details to support drawings
Develop 3D CAD models and drawings in Solidworks and enter files into PDM software
Work with customers on systems and part designs
Working in the following disciplines: mechanical, sheet metal, welded structures, among others
Recommend technical solutions, participate in design reviews and projects
Interpret and apply customer requirements, standards, and internal design and manufacturing standards to ensure designs meet customer specification/satisfaction
Identify and resolve technical issues and questions within area of expertise with the support of various teams
Ideal Qualifications/Requirements
Associate or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
1+ years of Mechanical Design and/or Engineering experience
Experience with Solidworks (Inventor or Creo considered)
