Who We Are
Product Design at WW creates experiences across our prospect and member touch points—from the guest site, to our member apps, and to the tools our coaches use to guide member experiences. Our purpose is to craft user experiences that facilitate weight loss through behavior change via intuitive, inclusive, and empathetic interfaces. The Product Design team sits within Product, and has around 20 people, we prioritize autonomy, opportunity, and transparency within our team. Our team is made of T-shaped product designers and writers that have experience across the full design process, but balance it with deep skills along that spectrum across the team. We also have the expertise of Design Operations and support processes and programs that create clarity, efficiency, and agency. Strong, effective partnerships with Product, Engineering, Science, Insights & Innovation, Data & Analytics, and Service Design ensure our designed experiences are successful.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the UXR Manager, the Senior UX Writer will be responsible for writing interface copy within our digital experiences, spanning across the user journey. You will develop a strategic perspective and drive guidance for digital copy and UX as we create the future of WW. You will influence our tone of voice, collaborating with Product, Brand, and Marketing to craft easily understandable language for behavior change. Working within the Product Design org, you will partner with Product, UX Research, Data and Analytics, and Engineering to explore, research, and validate solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Concept, write, test, and deliver copy and content strategy for human-centered user experiences
Pair with Product Designers to define, test and iterate UI copy across a variety of touch points and areas of the customer experience
Help build products that are inclusive, useful, and trusted
Understand the emotional and behavioral complexities involved in habit change
Communicate potentially complex features in a way that develops confidence and ease of use - focus on clarity, coherence, quality, accessibility and global relevance
Develop and evangelize copy guidelines, best practices, and product tone of voice based on user research and brand guidelines
Act as a conduit between Design, Legal, and Marketing to drive workflow efficiencies and consistency
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a UX Writer or similar role
2+ years of experience supporting product design and development
A web-based portfolio of relevant work samples with a UX focus; including problems you helped solve for, your contributions, and impact to the users
Comfort in an iterative work environment with a working knowledge of the design process and common UX methodologies
Experience driving impactful digital products via effective and clear copy, guidelines, and content strategy
Can edit existing work and create new copy
Can write everything the user experience requires, including navigation items, button labels, tool tips, headlines, intro copy, error messages
Self-motivated team player with mature cross-functional leadership skills
Strong, informed POV with a growth mindset and curious default
Passion for our customers, with empathy for those seeking support for health and weight management-related issues
Well organized and able to switch contexts in a reasonable way across our product experiences
Strong storyteller who can adjust style to fit the audience and the message
Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.
US Pay Range
$160,000 - $185,000 USD
