Dermalogica is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Artist to join our Global Creative Team at our Corporate HQ in Carson, CA. We are a leading skincare brand dedicated to delivering exceptional design and innovative packaging solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for skincare and a strong background in packaging design. As a Senior Production Artist, you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing high-quality designs, collaborating with our Design Team, Innovation Managers, and outside vendors to ensure project excellence. This role reports directly to the Global Creative Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and creation of packaging artwork for a diverse range of products.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative design concepts and ideas.
  • Produce print-ready files, including die-lines, artwork, and mockups.
  • Implement design changes and revisions as necessary, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Manage and organize artwork files, ensuring version control and easy accessibility.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure error-free materials before final production.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members to meet project requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and software.
  • Collaboratively manage long-standing independent contractors and potentially future outside agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design with a focus on packaging design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production artist or similar role.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as other 3D and packaging prototypes software.
  • Experience working with a production agency is a plus .
  • Proficiency in using Wrike project management software and Keynote is preferred .

Key Qualities:

  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout, and design principles.
  • Solid understanding of pre-press and print production processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competitive base salary range of $75,000-85,000; exact base salary determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
