Job Summary

The Event Services Technician is responsible for assisting with floor operations, including setup, strike, and operation of technology solutions in a hotel or hospitality environment, focusing on delivering unmatched customer service to our guests and clients.

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure all event sets and strikes are completed according to Company SOPs.
  2. Greet guests/clients before events and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment.
  3. Provide continued communication with clients to ensure success of all events.
  4. Follow through on all client requests.
  5. Look for opportunities to enhance clients' events.
  6. Maintain accurate client event information within the company's business systems.
  7. Review daily invoices with clients and obtain signatures.
  8. Comply with all company security and safety measures, and be aware of property inventory and equipment to prevent theft or damage.
  9. Ensure all inventory is in good working order and rental condition.
  10. Report any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment immediately to management.
  11. Make sure all company-occupied areas are clean, organized, and up to standards.
  12. Work toward enhancing technical skills, including audio, video/data, staging, and networking.
  13. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Prior exposure to audio visual and/or hospitality industry
  • Computer proficiency (hardware, software, and networking)

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Planning ability; able to plan and prioritize
