What’s on Your Plate: The Marketing Specialist supports strategic planning and coordination of marketing and community programs for Lazy Acres Natural Market and New Leaf Community Markets across California. Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Requirements: Understands and models our company culture. Acts as a steward of company resources, mission, vision and values. Position Responsibilities: Coordinates, develops and executes marketing plans, based on directives from Marketing Director and other internal stakeholders. Serves as primary project trafficking coordinator for all marketing and community projects, within Monday.com and outside of it. Manages projects and communications with independence. Owns Executive Summaries for key campaigns and initiatives, demonstrating oversight of the soup to nuts marketing plan Establishes and maintains tracking systems for marketing workflow; serves as team power user for project management system. Sets up schedules, processes and organizational tactics to keep projects on time and the appropriate people informed/involved. Serves as a marketing communication bridge with Store Admins, Merchandising, Operations, Store Managers, and Community teams ; including responsibility for collateral instructions and back room slides. Works in stores and other offsite events and locations as needed to support our core business and community. Assists in the management and logging of budget expenses associated with all marketing and community activities. Completes thorough marketing content assignments and supports briefs for marketing planning. Contributes to the marketing department integrated marketing approach by working collaboratively and keeping appropriate team members apprised of plans and developments. Responds in a timely manner to store, vendor, and community inquiries. Assists with various marketing and community projects as assigned. Supports Marketing Director and marketing and community teammates to organize and communicate programs and reporting. Owns SOP documentation for marketing processes and pursues opportunities to create efficiency Primary point of contact for store – responsible for tracking collateral, special requests and general marketing information. Maintains collateral guide catalogs. Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of budget sheets under strategic guidance of Sr. Director of Marketing and Creative Services Manager. Continuously tasked with optimizing budgets and making recommendations to reallocate spend to align with shifting business needs and customer preferences. Responsible for ensuring proper archiving and distribution of materials. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Previous food and/or grocery specific industry experience preferred. Experience in a multi-unit, high growth retail or similar environment required. Knowledge of general marketing and/or public relations or advertising experience highly preferred. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related fields preferred, however relevant work experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable. Mid-level proficiency with MS Office. Skills to learn new computer programs and systems. Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, to collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners at all levels in the company. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ability to respond to urgent job responsibilities as they arise and flexible when priorities redirect. Skills to plan, prioritize and organize work with minimal supervision.
