About the Role

Working at the heart of a fast-paced fashion business, a Visual Merchandiser creates an environment that inspires customers to explore their personal style. This role supports and guides the store team to deliver an inspiring and exciting Customer Experience aligned with the H&M brand and values. The Visual Merchandiser actively drives sales and is responsible for implementing the Visual Identity. The role requires meeting customer and colleague expectations at all times, following all H&M procedures and standards.

This position reports to our Store Visual Manager (based on volume) or the Store Manager.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Sales and Profit

Set garment presentation on the Sales Floor & Windows according to the Commercial Handbook. Collaborate with the Department Manager to identify additional commercial opportunities within brand guidelines. Execute floor moves based on these decisions.

Fashion Knowledge

• Stay updated with current fashion trends.
• Share, inspire, and educate the store team on seasonal trends, upcoming campaigns, and brand standards.

Customer Service

• Meet customer expectations on direct service according to H&M standards.
• Support the store in achieving excellent customer experiences.

Visual and Store Operations

• Implement the Visual Identity through the Commercial Handbook, ensuring mannequins and displays are well-styled.
• Create a cohesive visual story from windows to the store's core areas with wearable suggestions.
• Maintain high-quality garment presentation daily.
• Manage customer flow through fixture placement and navigation.
• Launch and maintain sales campaigns timely and according to standards.

Routine Tasks

• Follow up on Store KPIs with the Department Manager and initiate actions to meet goals.
• Adjust store planning based on store needs and commercial plans.
• Complete tasks related to the Customer Experience Tool to maximize commercial opportunities.

Visual Store Operations

• Execute floor moves and sample picking to create compelling stories and suggestions.
• Complete daily routines before store opening.
• Manage visual props and marketing materials responsibly, with sustainability in mind.
• Keep visual areas organized and safe.
• Update visual materials seasonally and inform the team.
• Maintain windows' appearance and condition.

People and Development

Support the store team through coaching and development, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

Training & Talent Identification

• Develop visual and commercial skills through regular training.
• Provide feedback and support during floor moves.
• Identify future visual merchandiser talent.

Communication & Legal Compliance

• Ensure all visual communication complies with local legislation.

Security & Safety

• Adhere to safety, security, and health routines.
• Follow procedures to ensure safety for colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Inclusive, positive, creative, eager to learn.
• Passionate about customer service and personal style.
• Enjoy multitasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• 1-2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to lift over 20 pounds, stand long periods, climb ladders, and use tools.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends; travel may be required.

Job Details

Hourly, Non-Exempt, with a pay range of $15.51 - $17.45 per hour.
