We are presently searching for a Design Manager for ourSeattle Studio Manages client relationship for small and medium sized projects from initiation through completion, including work performed by internal and external resources Organizes and conducts client interviews to determine technical and design requirements for the design Produces, reviews and finalizes documentation for projects Knowledge of detailing and finalizes details on projects Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages Researches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for projects. Obtain client approval and ensure integration into overall design In some circumstances may be required to assist with support for field surveys Coordinates engineering work to ensure compliance with design concept and coordination with IA’s documents Coordinates project teams to ensure timely completion of documents Works with design and technical teams to shape and understand the design concepts. Present and gains approval of concepts to the client Establishes and ensures adherence to set budget. Immediately informs Sr. PM or Project Director and/or client of any potential variances to the budget and makes appropriate modifications Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. Participates in marketing strategy sessions and presentations Participates in industry organizations to increase firm’s profile and develop marketing opportunities Assign tasks, oversee work and provide feedback to staff assign to project. Develops skills of staff for future projects. May accomplish tasks by working with and/or directing efforts of other project managers Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations and final delivery of project. Ensure positive relationships resulting in additional business or referred work Qualifications: Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted 5+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics Advanced knowledge of space planning Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes Familiar with the concepts of furniture layout Advanced sketching and rendering skills Advanced interior architecture detailing skills Working knowledge of CDs and procedures Working knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements Working knowledge of path of travel requirements Working knowledge of contract administration Intermediate MS Office Suite skills Advanced Revit skills Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills Affinity Program skills or equivalent Demonstrated ability to manage and lead junior staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise #J-18808-Ljbffr
