The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach a variety of Studio Art courses, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, metals + jewelry, sculpture, photography, and video and new media. Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections and we offer both online and in-person modalities. Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Fine Arts ( MFA ) degree in Studio Art, Design, or related discipline by time of appointment.

Authorization to work in the US

Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Engagement with contemporary art practices as an educator, artist, designer, and/or illustrator.

One year of teaching experience at the college level.
