Are you a FUN, creative makeup artist looking to build an INCREDIBLE career in beauty? Do you want to be part of a FAST-growing salon group in Brooklyn? The most EXCITING salon in Brooklyn is looking for a fun, dedicated makeup artist/receptionist for their newest salon in Dumbo, providing services on Saturdays & Sundays.

This position is the first point of contact for all existing and potential guests of the salon. The ideal candidate must represent the salon well as a first impression. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with location managers and the salon's owners.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Greeting and handling all guest check-ins and check-outs
  2. Scheduling appointments based on timing and stylist skills
  3. Answering a multi-line phone system and directing calls as needed
  4. Replying to client emails and online reviews
  5. Creating marketing campaigns to increase client count
  6. Community outreach for neighborhood businesses and residents
  7. Planning salon business and events based on sales goals
  8. Tracking inventory and entering new products into computer systems
  9. Ordering salon supplies
  10. Working closely with the salon's owner to plan salon events

Additional duties include providing makeup services for clients, including Bridal & Special Events.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Outstanding written and communication skills
  • A friendly and inviting demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A willingness to assist other team members when needed
  • Previous salon or hospitality experience

Applicants must submit a resume and a portfolio of their work. Experience in event makeup is preferred. Must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
