Audio Video Technician Job at Systems Design Co. in Town of Southampton

Work effectively and efficiently under daily direction from your Field Manager on all phases of assigned projects and service calls, including rough, trim, and finish work.

Report daily progress, changes, issues, and material requests to your Field Manager. Submit meeting notes, completed timesheets, and signed work tickets.

Maintain a clean and organized company van.

Participate in an after-hours service call rotation, including holidays and weekends.

Communicate professionally and courteously with staff, client representatives, trades, and subcontractors.

Work in construction environments year-round, exposed to weather conditions.

Familiarity with Honeywell alarm panels is preferred.

Install, test, troubleshoot, and support alarm systems on-site and remotely.

Properly commission, calibrate, test, diagnose, and repair alarm systems.

Install prewire phase cables, wiring, structured cabling, connectors, hardware, and electronic equipment. Experience with high-end custom home theaters, networking, and media rooms is a plus.

Provide user training on installed systems.

Pursue ongoing technical training and certifications.

May be required to:

• Travel to job sites outside of normal work areas for several days.
• Work overtime to meet project deadlines.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial platforms, and lift heavy objects, conforming to SDC standards and practices.
