Web Developer/ServiceNow Developer - Remote/Virtual - 100%

Description:

This role involves developing and maintaining ServiceNow applications, with a preference for candidates experienced in ServiceNow, but highly experienced Web Developers will also be considered. The contractor will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for analysis, design, engineering, development, and implementation of software projects within the ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop core functionalities, ITSM applications, and create new applications, understanding system integration needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, perform peer code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and implement application systems according to requirements and standards.
  • Respond to production issues with prompt resolutions.
  • Manage ServiceNow code quality, administration, and platform development using Agile methodologies.
  • Review requirements for clarity and completeness.
  • Participate in meetings to identify risks and support project tasks.
  • Work with various teams and stakeholders to understand impacts on processes.
  • Design testing strategies for development, QA, and UAT phases.
  • Customize ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows, and interfaces to support ITIL processes.
  • Develop solutions for business problems based on user specifications.
  • Follow project management methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in IT or business environments.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS (highly desired).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and/or Admin.
  • Knowledge of Performance Analytics, Discovery, and Asset Management.
  • Understanding of software development principles and at least one programming language.
  • Basic understanding of the technical and business environment.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification (highly desired).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Geneva Patch 5 or later.
  • Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnering skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and work effectively in a team environment.
