Job Description
• Assist in creating, reviewing, and revising documents such as SOPs, forms, job aids, and training materials for the manufacturing department.
• Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to understand document objectives, ensuring content accuracy and completeness.
• Organize information for clarity, accuracy, and proper formatting, maintaining high standards of grammar and spelling.
• Perform duties in accordance with site and corporate cGMP, safety, environmental, and HR policies.
• Prioritize primary responsibilities critical to the role, focusing on accountability and judgment rather than task listing.
• Edit and format incoming document requests, track revisions through approval workflows.
• Assist in developing new and revised documents, suggesting terminology, content, and format improvements in line with policies.
• Participate in bi-annual reviews of SOPs and related documents.
• Complete assigned commitments to support Corrective and Preventative Actions.
• Maintain document control, ensuring accurate history and revision records.
Organizational Relationships
• Interact regularly with site departments such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, and Technical Operations.
• Engage with network customers as needed.
Resources Managed
• Responsible for financial accountability, including budget or revenue management.
• Manage or coordinate resources, including direct or indirect reports, and possibly contingent workers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Science, Communications, or English with at least 2 years of technical writing experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
• AS in Communications or related field with a minimum of 5 years in technical writing in regulated environments.
• At least 5 years of technical writing experience.
Technical Skills
• Efficiently edit documents, incorporate revisions, and develop standardized formats.
• Navigate document control and E-Systems for routing and approval.
• Proofread for content accuracy and clarity.
• Write clearly with excellent grammar and sentence structure.
• Translate verbal instructions into precise operating procedures.
• Adhere to document formats while maintaining technical content.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and manage stress effectively.
• Incorporate feedback and insights from others.
• Understand pharmaceutical processes and SOP design.
• Comply with cGMP and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
