Collaboration with engineers, architects, and construction teams is a critical aspect of this position. Key Responsibilities: Truss Design:
Create comprehensive designs for truss systems, ensuring compliance with safety, durability, and performance standards necessary for diverse environments. CAD and Software Utilization:
Efficiently use Alpine or Mitek design software to produce high-quality designs. Structural Analysis:
Conduct structural calculations and evaluations to confirm that trusses will endure various environmental stresses, including snow load and wind resistance. Collaboration:
Collaborate seamlessly with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that designs integrate harmoniously with overall project objectives. Code Compliance:
Guarantee that designs are in full compliance with local building codes and industry regulations. Project Management Support:
Contribute to project planning by preparing timelines, cost estimates, and material lists, while monitoring progress to ensure the timely delivery of truss systems. Site Visits:
Conduct site evaluations as necessary to assess the practicality of truss designs and to oversee correct installation practices. Innovation:
Keep abreast of new design trends, materials, and construction techniques that can enhance the effectiveness and aesthetic value of truss projects. Qualifications: Proficient in Alpine or Mitek design software. Strong grasp of structural analysis, material properties, and load calculations. Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations. Outstanding problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
