Role: Audio Visual Technician

Scope: We are looking for AV & Network Technicians for our growing company who want to advance into a new hybrid role. The project lead role involves project planning, management, supervision, and technical site execution. Candidates should have experience in one or both technical cores and demonstrate strong project management skills or equivalent experience. The role includes training and developing competencies across these domains and being part of our project leads group.

This position is responsible for:

• Ensuring successful customer experiences through the planning and deployment of AV systems.
• Technical responsibilities include:
• Building and wiring networks and integrated Audio/Visual systems from provided drawings and equipment lists.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting final systems to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Performing quality assurance at the component level.
• Managing site resources.
• Collaborating with customers, designers, technicians, partners, and other project resources.
• Developing less experienced team members through formal instruction and hands-on mentorship.

Requirements:

• CTS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years of senior-level AV technician or AV installer experience with leadership responsibilities.
• TCP/IP & network competency preferred.
• Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of AV and IT systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read architectural and schematic diagrams (system and building drawings).
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments, including overhead work.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Proficiency with PCs and MS Office.

Preferred:

• Audio DSP programming and balancing (design experience is a plus).
• Crestron/AUX/Extron control system loading and debugging (programming experience is a plus).
• CAD and/or Visio drawing capabilities (multilayer drawings are a plus).
• Schedule-based project management.
• VTC and digital media experience.
• Proactive, high-energy, tech-savvy individuals eager to demonstrate leadership and pride in customer solutions.
