Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company A Senior Designer will use computer-based tools to design parts and assemblies, create production drawings, and manage BOMs for small, medium, or large projects. This individual will also originate, develop, or modify product designs from conception to finished manufacturing documentation assuring quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability, and cost has been considered. What you will do: Create engineering documentation including SolidWorks, modeling, fabrication and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness Complete work assignments within determined time frame and use judgement in determining assignment goals Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin products Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic Be part of and function in a team environment including cross functional and inter-departmental teams Participate in or lead special team projects Give work direction to Designers and train other Designers to perform work What's in it for you: The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical Degree or equivalent experience 2-4 years relevant experience Experience in sheet metal design and/or HVAC products Ability to travel up to 10% Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state, and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical salary for this position ranges from $35.24-$56.35 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
