Summary

Assist in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing daily operations of the production department or unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support local, network, or independent TV production to ensure professional quality.
  • Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and setting up TV programs, including news, documentaries, talk shows, and entertainment.
  • Mentor students, interns, and part-time staff.
  • Prepare and distribute daily shooting schedules and notify the crew of changes.
  • Record shot sheets and assist with set-up, lighting, and dismantling of sets.
  • Research, develop, and finalize program scripts.
  • Collect and organize production materials post-shoot.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of theater, photography, or film experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with camera operation, audio, editing, and lighting.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to regulations.
