Job Description:


  • Teach in-person on campus COM courses in the Communication department under the Division of the Humanities and Learning Communities.
  • Areas of focus within communication include communication theory, interpersonal and intercultural communication, public and professional speaking, journalism, media studies, and film.
  • Courses are offerings are fully in-person on campus (Charlestown and Chelsea campuses) Monday-Saturday 7:00a.m. to 10:00p.m.


Requirements:


  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Communication or a related field.
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
  • Teaching experience at the college level, with community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to teach courses on campus in an in-person setting at BHCC's Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.

Preferred Requirements:


  • Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language is preferred.


Additional Information:


Salary: $1,397.00 per credit hour
