Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER (Full Time Regular): FOX 13-WTVT is seeking a creative full-time News Photographer. Work for the #1 station in a great news market, located in beautiful Tampa Bay. The Photographer must have proven ability to shoot and edit video in the field, newsroom, and studio. Responsibilities include gathering information and interviews in the field, providing live coverage as assigned, and working independently or with a Reporter. Equipment used includes Panasonic P2 (HD), editing on Edius, and Live U for video transmission. The role also involves editing news stories on deadline in the field and newsroom. Writing and producing video for broadcast and digital platforms is a plus. The position requires contributing to station social media channels with information, stills, and video.

A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a photojournalist or equivalent in a news department of a commercial television station. A valid driver’s license and an exemplary driving record are required. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, work effectively under tight deadlines, and interact professionally with the public, officials, and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong storytelling abilities, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude. Demonstrated skills in operating photography equipment, non-linear editing, and live broadcast equipment are essential. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and workflows is also required.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role is $30.29-31.25 per hour, with final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits as per applicable plan documents. Benefits for union-represented employees will follow the collective bargaining agreement.
