About Crossroads

Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren’t located near one of our physical sites.

Job Summary

The Crossroads voice is a critical part of our mission, teaching our community about Jesus in a language they can understand, and in a language that’s compelling and inviting to them. Our design efforts within a regular weekend service are often the first expressions of Crossroads our design target sees. This role exists to consistently craft their voice for the medium and the situation, to create a winsome introduction to our community.

The canvases are amongst things like: social media, web ads, email headers, swag, and our Weekend Experience, including design and “world building” on our stage and LED walls. With this new piece of technology being installed, this role will also be working alongside other creatives bringing together best in class, environmental experiences utilizing our new canvas. Working alongside the design team, this person will also brand our ministries and initiatives while bringing these to life through our Marketing and Social media tools that we have available.

As a Senior level designer, this role is meant to help maintain the voice of Crossroads throughout our communities. This role reports to the Design Director and collaborates with the Marketing and Studio Teams.

Job Specific Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • LED Graphic and Environmental Design
  • Ministry Branding
  • Marketing and Social initiative branding and landscape design.
  • Creating high-level design experiences outside and inside of the weekend experience including developing sub-brands, and event branding.

Job Specific Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Degree in Graphic Design or commensurate experience is preferred

Experience / Skills Requirements

  • 5-7 years in graphic design or similar field
  • Deep understanding of print design
  • Deep understanding of digital design
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

  • Must love Jesus

  • Strong creative instincts that align with the Crossroads brand
  • Ability to cast creative vision and present concepts to creatives and ministry leaders alike

  • Ability to work nimbly and effectively with teams across staff

Physical Requirements

  • Performs effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
  • Must be able to lift 14 to 50 lbs.

Scheduling / Travel Requirements

  • Travel as needed for special projects and team training events (e.g., conferences, visiting sites when needed)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and other high impact events at Crossroads.
