About Us:
At Covenant Baptist Church Collierville, we are a warm and welcoming, conservative Southern Baptist Church committed to glorifying God through worship, teaching, and service. Our worship music is characterized by the following: We view historic hymns as foundational, and we see new hymns and other carefully selected spiritual songs as inspirational and transformational. Our music must be theologically correct, uplifting, and God-honoring. Collierville is a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee.
Areas of Responsibilities:
The Music & Media Pastor will develop and execute a long-term vision for these ministries, providing overall leadership in developing, administering, and directing the Music & Media ministries of the church.

·General:
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ

- A passion for worship and a working knowledge of media, both digital and print
- Qualities such as teamwork, cooperation, dependability, organization, hard work, respect, staff loyalty, and a teachable spirit
- Agreement with the beliefs of Covenant Baptist Church as stated in the Constitution, Bylaws, and SBC Baptist Faith & Message Statement
·Ministry:
- Coordinate ministry to support and align with the church’s purpose and vision
- Participate actively in all aspects of church life beyond Music and Media
- Attend all worship services unless excused by the Senior Pastor
- Serve as Staff Advisor for church committees as assigned
- Support the local Association, State Convention, and SBC
·Music:
- Assist the Senior Pastor in developing worship order for services
- Lead the adult choir and congregational singing
- Cultivate camaraderie among the choir through social events
- Direct hand bell choir, drama, instrumentalists, soloists, ensembles, and special music events
- Oversee youth and children’s music ministries
·Media:
- Recruit, train, and organize volunteers for audio, video, and streaming during services
- Manage and direct the sound team and all audio/visual/streaming elements
- Create policies and procedures for media operations
- Develop standard operating procedures for each role and train team members accordingly
- Oversee field productions involving audio/video/streaming
Qualifications:
- Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the church’s mission
- Proven experience in music ministry, including vocal and instrumental proficiency
- Fluency in ProPresenter 7 and Planning Center preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Training/Degree from seminary preferred; a degree in music is advantageous
