UI/UX Designer Job Opening

Company Folders, Inc. is looking for a full-time UI/UX Designer with education, training, and experience in building sites based on user experience. The candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently to define, create, and optimize our websites. This role involves working on our website's design and user interaction team, including defining requirements, wireframing, creating mock-ups, and assisting with coding in HTML and CSS. The person will test designs at various phases and analyze and optimize the final designs using tools such as website optimizer. Collaboration with graphic designers, web writers, merchandisers, and software developers is essential to deliver effective website user experiences.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Serve as the point-of-contact for questions regarding user personas
• Collaborate with software teams, writers, and merchandisers on website design and development
• Identify user requirements and translate them into design solutions
• Create UX deliverables like wireframes, workflows, and prototypes
• Manage usability testing
• Develop and deliver front-end design assets (graphics, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Requirements:

• Self-starter who can learn quickly with minimal guidance and ask the right questions
• Minimum of 2 years of web UI/UX design experience
• Knowledge of usability, human factors, and UX processes
• Experience with Adobe design tools
• Proficiency in XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX
• Experience with Microsoft design/development tools (Visual Studio/Expression)
• Familiarity with website optimizer tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to describe problems and solutions clearly and objectively
