Job Summary:
A Vocal Music Presenter is responsible for leading and managing a vocal ensemble. This role involves conducting rehearsals and performances, selecting and arranging music, developing the vocal skills of ensemble members, and ensuring the overall quality and cohesion of the group's performances.
?Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Teach and refine vocal techniques, focusing on breath control, tone production, diction, and articulation in an developmentally appropriate manner.
- Provide instruction on ensemble singing.
- Select appropriate music for the ensemble, considering the skill level and interests of the singers.
- Arrange or adapt music as needed to fit the specific voices and abilities of the ensemble.
- Plan and lead regular rehearsals, ensuring they are productive and focused on improving the ensemble's performance.
- Provide clear conducting gestures and verbal instructions to guide the ensemble through the music.
- Foster the overall musical growth of ensemble members, including sight-reading, ear training, and understanding of musical theory and history in a developmentally appropriate manner.
- Encourage expressive and emotive singing, helping students connect with the music on a deeper level.
- Plan and arrange for facility usage and any transportation by submitting a request prior to the performance in a timely fashion.
- Ensure timely communication with families, students, and staff members including information, permission slips and necessary support.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.

Education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
