Salary Range: 47,000 - 52,000 USD Annually
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Total compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
ABOUT THE TEAM: Here’s an opportunity to start at the top: VerdictSearch is the country’s leading provider of verdict and settlement information. You will produce case reports for our newsletters and a case database that comprises more than 200,000 reports. Although you will be expected to cultivate sources, you will be supported by a team of assignment editors who scour the courts and compile lists of recent cases for you to track. We offer a fun, challenging work environment that provides long-term stability: The average VerdictSearch employee has been here nearly six years.
Responsibilities:
- File 13 case reports a week
- Conduct telephone interviews with sources
- Develop law-firm relationships and cultivate sources
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable using the telephone and conducting interviews
- Prior experience at a daily or weekly print publication is strongly preferred
- An aggressive personality and sharp attention to detail are keys to success
- Strong reporting and writing skills are a must
- A law degree or relevant experience is helpful but not necessary
