The Weekend Anchor/MSJ position at TEGNA offers an exciting opportunity to lead our top-rated newscasts in South Texas. We are seeking a passionate, driven individual to anchor our weekend evening newscasts and contribute as a multi-skilled journalist during the week.

Responsibilities:

• Anchor weekend evening newscasts and fill-in on other newscasts
• Shoot, write, edit, and produce multi-platform stories three days a week
• Develop community contacts and enterprise original stories
• Contribute to coverage across broadcast, digital, and social channels
• Assist in story development and production with the team
• Participate in community events and public appearances

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years on-air experience
• Ability to work various shifts including nights, early mornings, and weekends
• Journalism or Mass Communication degree preferred
• Knowledge of Texas/regional areas is a plus
• Experience with ENPS and Edius preferred
