WFRV-TV Local 5 is seeking a News Anchor/MMJ for their Weekend Newscasts. The role involves serving as a primary presenter and producer of news stories across all platforms, delivering content that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to viewers.

As a Multimedia Journalist, you should be able to identify potential stories, collect, analyze, and present facts about newsworthy events through interviews, investigations, or observations for all platforms, ensuring clarity and engagement.

Responsibilities include:

1. Presents news stories and content across all platforms.
2. Produces weekend news programming.
3. Occasionally fills in as producer for other programs.
4. Ensures all content meets journalistic integrity and quality standards.
5. Writes and delivers news stories clearly and concisely.
6. Produces newscasts and communicates effectively with team members.
7. Assists with writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating news content.
8. Acts as a field reporter as assigned.
9. Conducts interviews with news personnel and others.
10. Responds to breaking news and urgent situations.
11. Participates in promotional activities and public appearances.
12. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
13. Edits video clips as needed.
14. Creates content for websites and digital media platforms.
15. Engages with viewers/users on social media.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
