KSNW-TV is seeking a Digital Content Producer to help deliver high-quality local news to the Wichita-Hutchinson market and beyond. Working with our news team, the producer will develop an understanding of the digital news ecosystem and create compelling content daily, upholding high journalistic standards to grow our footprint and credibility.

We have a high-performing web team and are looking for the right person to join us.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitor all media forms and report breaking news quickly, seeking exclusive or trending content to increase engagement and traffic.
• Write engaging headlines to grow audience and engagement.
• Package content to maximize page views and time on site, using headlines testing and analytics.
• Curate and promote interesting content to generate engagement and repeat visits.
• Create stories using various formats, including short videos and photos.
• Analyze website traffic trends to inform daily and long-term content strategies.
• Collaborate with newsroom staff and management, and market web content on broadcast.
• Promote news content on social media platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Experience in digital content and journalism.
• Ability to research, interview, and write original news articles.
• Strong headline writing skills to attract clicks.
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Technical problem-solving and quick decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of SEO and AP Style.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to meet performance metrics.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics; Chartbeat is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office; HTML, CSS, Canva, and Photoshop are a plus.
