This position is based on-site at the Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C., supporting the United States Capitol Police (USCP) within the Office of Information Systems (OIS), Radio Services Division (RSD).

Role Overview

The Service Desk Support Agent will provide technical assistance to USCP, ensuring communication systems and radio devices function effectively. The role involves responding promptly to technical issues related to radio systems, equipment, and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support via service desk portal, manage inventory of radio assets, and handle equipment requests and returns.
  • Support the inventory software system and perform coding edits to enhance performance.
  • Assist with radio project support and manage preventive maintenance, device programming, and inventory compliance.
  • Document maintenance procedures, diagnose issues, and perform minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of radio device locations, performance, and maintenance history.
  • Implement inventory management processes, including RF-ID tagging and asset management.
  • Support the operation of industrial vending machines for radio asset distribution and re-stocking.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and Motorola Customer Programming Software.
  • Familiarity with Motorola radios, digital trunked radio operation, and related accessories.
  • Ability to drive and navigate the DC/MD/VA area.
