Arizona Western College is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Acquisitions and Collection Management Librarian to oversee budget operations and co-lead our Technical Services Department. In this role, you’ll also provide engaging instruction, offer reference support, and contribute to developing a dynamic and diverse library collection. Typical Duties
- Serves Students. Coordinates the library's budgeting and purchasing activities with Arizona Western College business office personnel. Oversees the input and reconciliation of purchasing documentation utilizing the campus financial systems. Orders library materials, services, and supplies according to campus purchasing procedures. Evaluates, selects, and communicates with vendors regarding new acquisitions and invoices needing adjustments. Confers with library staff on budget priorities and issues. Prepares periodic budget and statistical reports, budget estimates, establishes fund allocations, monitors expenditures, performs fiscal closing, and communicates the budget status with the library staff. Prepares recommendations for budget modifications with the Director of Library Services throughout the fiscal vear and for the preparation of annual budget cvcles.
- Coordinates all aspects of the Academic Library Technical Services Department according to standard academic library policies and procedures in conjunction with the Library Specialist- Technical Services. Confers with the Library Specialist- Technical Services and Information Technology Librarian in relation to print and electronic resources ordered. Coordinates with the Library Specialist- Technical Services in relation to the technical services department workflow.
- Participates in library instruction to students, faculty, and staff in person and online in library instruction classes and the library website, such as LibGuides, collaborating with faculty as needed. Promotes the development of Information literacy skills in interactions with library users.

- MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited library school with 1 year of library experience
$50,544 - $53,576 per year, depending on experience.
