Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the scriptwriter, responsible for the creative direction of the game story, producing an animated storyboard, managing camera work, actor's performance, and editing.
• Responsible for the game character background story and relationships, enriching the game experience.
• Participate in the full production process, supervise motion capture, and ensure high standards for performance, editing, acting, and sound, providing feedback and adjustments.
• Oversee the overall game experience in an Unreal 5 AAA game with real-time rendering.

Requirements:

• Passionate about games, with over 7 years of experience in film, animation, or gaming as a director.
• Understanding of Western culture and storytelling, capable of producing animated storyboards and supervising their integration within the game engine.
• Excellent cinematography, storytelling, and visual hierarchy skills, with a strong aesthetic sense.
• Experience with motion capture, actor performances, art concept design, and collaboration with external teams to ensure narrative coherence with gameplay.
• Familiarity with UE5 engine and cinematic production pipelines.
• Strong bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an English-speaking environment.

Location: Washington

The salary range is $141,600 to $238,800 per year, with potential sign-on bonuses, relocation packages, stock units, and other benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), vacation, holidays, and sick leave, adjusted based on location and employment specifics.
